COMPANY PROFILE
Cebu Daily News rolled out its first issue on Feb. 8, 1998. It is one of two publications of Inquirer Publications Inc. (IPI), which also publishes the national tabloid, Bandera. IPI is part of the Inquirer Group of Companies.
The latest AC Nielsen survey (last quarter 2008) validates CDN's position as the most preferred regional paper of the A, B, and upper C market.
Results of the Synovate survey (August 2008) showed that CDN is one of two regional papers that is most read in the Visayas.
Today, the multi-awarded English language daily continues to pursue its vision of being the most respected, most influential community newspaper in the region committed to the upliftment of the people of Cebu.
As “Cebu's only independent paper”, CDN has no politician owners or alliances.
It adheres to journalistic integrity and ethical standards of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, CDN’s parent company and the nation’s largest broadsheet.
In just 11 years, CDN has bagged more than a dozen local, national and international awards.
